How to Reset your SMART+ Contact and Temperature Sensor
If you are having trouble pairing your Contact and Temperature Sensor, or it fails to respond to commands, you may need to reset the sensor and re-pair it to your system. To do this:
- Remove the device from your smart home set up.
- Remove the battery from your contact sensor, and leave it out for at least 6 seconds.
- Locate the small pinhole button on the sensor. Use a small pin or paperclip to hold this down while simultaneously re-inserting the battery.
- Continue holding down the button for an additional 3 seconds until the light starts flashing blue, indicating that it has been reset and is in pairing mode.
